RULES GOVERNING THE TEN MILES POINTS COMPETITION

1.   The competition is for individual and tandem competitors all of whom must be first claim members of the Club.

2.   The competition will be decided in those ten miles events promoted by the Club on the

KC20/10 course on Wednesday evenings in the months of May, June, July and August during the current racing season.

3.  Each individual or tandem will be given a standard time. For each second that the standard time is beaten one point will be scored up to a maximum of sixty points per event. Any individual or tandem scoring sixty points in an event WILL have their standard revised.

4.  Any individual or tandem scoring between thirty and fifty nine points MAY, at the handicappers discretion, have their standard revised.

5.  The winner of each section will be the individual or tandem with the highest aggregate score from their best six performances. In addition to the best three places overall there will also be awards in the individual section only for Veterans, Ladies and Junior competitors. The number of awards will in all cases be subject to racing rule 4.

6. Prospective competitors are reminded that at sometime they may be asked to assist in the

promotion of an event either as assistant timekeeper, recorder or pusher off. At least two weeks notice, and if possible more, will be given to those asked to help in an event Refusing to help without a reasonable excuse will mean that you will not be allowed to compete in the event in which you refused to assist and the next two consecutive events.

Note:        If every competitor offered to help in just ONE club event per year that would be enough to cover all our club events for that year.
