Cycling
sessions for young riders.
The clubs skills sessions at the Wordsley School have now
drawn to a close for this year. They were a great success
over the summer term, however numbers dropped over the summer
holidays, understanderbly really. The sessions consisted of
a warm up followed by a skills session i.e. cornering, climbing
etc. Then finishing off on alternating weeks with a short
cyclo-cross race and a ride in the woods. The former of which
which brought out the highly competitive spirit amongst many
of the youngsters.
Riders who attended regularly made huge improvements in both
their fitness and skill levels which was clearly evident,
with some riders showing excellent bike handling and determination
to be the fastest around the grass track.
We are now about to start laying the foundations for next
years activities, details of which will follow shortly, but
are certainly going to be exiting!!!
A big thank you to everyone involved in the delivery of the
sessions and the support from club members and parents alike.

We will be holding a presentation evening for the cycling
skills sessions held at the Wordsley School over the summer
months. It will be held on Monday 15th September at the Oakhill
Community Centre on Brettell Lane, commencing at 8:15 pm.
Here all riders will be presented with a certificate for their
achievements and a small prize. Feel free to bring along family,
where we will also be able to answer any questions regarding
club activities and membership.
All are welcome, so lets show some support for the stars of
tomorrow...
Look forward to seeing you all there!!!
